Master Saddler Kate Hardt founded The Traditional Belt Company out of her own frustration with finding good quality belts at reasonable prices. All too often, brand outranks quality and demands prices that do not reflect in the quality of the product. All of The Traditional Belt Company’s products are made from best bridle leather and finished with solid British metalwork.
You can customise your made-to-measure belt by selecting the leather colour, buckle style and choice of leather or metal loops.
All our belts are fully hand-made using tradtional bridle-making skills – hand-punched, edged, stained and hot-creased to the same high standard that has gained Kate her places in the National Saddlery Competition.
Additionally, available customisations include contrast-coloured stitching, colour-accent welting, coloured cantle (patent, mock-crock, Swarovski, crushed crystal, …) to create your own, unique saddle.

Mariella – the deep seat and well placed medium size knee rolls provide maximum support and comfort while allowing the rider the freedom to give correct and effective aids. Shown here with gold detailing
Grace – this mono-flap saddle ticks all the boxes for the dressage enthusiast: a deep seat and choice of supportive knee blocks enables the rider to find the perfect balanced position.
Comfort Platinum Jump – a deep seat and a choice of narrow or standard twist suit the requirements of individual riders.
Retro Mono Flap Platinum Jump – the mono flap offers riders a closer feel and connection with their horse. Shown here with contrasting welting.
Italiano – with its own range of unique trees, this saddle offers the horse plenty of freedom. Shown here in autumn gold, with positionable Velcro knee blocks.
Future Platinum GP – shown here is a beautiful example that features the Future panel upgrade, rose gold detail, patent leather cantle surround and mock-crock cantle.
